Maggie giggled when Johnny’s cheeks turned red, squeezing his hand a bit. She frowned when she saw that Peter Pan wasn’t playing. “Oh man.” She said, bummed out. “Do you still want to go?” She asked.
Johnny looked over at Maggie and shrugged. “We could go to the lot and just talk if you want.”
Maggie nodded, smiling. “Okay, that sounds good.” She replied. She always loved their talks. They always made her so relaxed at happy, and it seemed as if she and Johnny could talk about anything.
Maggie hopped onto a stool at the Dingo, ordering a chocolate milkshake for herself happily. She loved chocolate; it was one of her favorite things besides reading and cheerleading. As she sipped on her milkshake, she became aware of a presence beside her. She turned in her stool, smiling at the person. “Hi!” She greeted.
Dallas raised an eyebrow at Maggie, not understanding why she was so happy and energetic all the time. Then again, she did make Johnny happy, so he couldn’t really say anything. “Hey. Where’s Johnnycakes?” He asked, ordering a beer for himself.
“I dunno.” Maggie answered, shrugging her shoulders. “Probably with Pony or something. Where have you been?”
Dani smiled and she nodded. “He sure did. Good God girl, he really does like you.” She said with a small chuckle.
Maggie giggled, looking down with blush decorating her cheeks. “I really like him.” She admitted. “He makes me real happy, Dani. A lot happier than I was before him.”
Dani smiled a little, licking her lips and taking a sip of her Coke. “Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so into a guy before… he hasn’t hurt you yet?” She asked, a little bit surprised.
“Uh.. kinda.” Maggie admitted, shrugging her shoulders. “He broke up with me a little while back, but it was ‘cause he didn’t want me to be around his family. He doesn’t have a real good home life. He was just trying to protect me is all.”
Dani smiled and she nodded. “He sure did. Good God girl, he really does like you.” She said with a small chuckle.

Johnny’s cheeks flared red and he tried to hide them with his jean jacket collar but it didn’t help much. As they reached the drive-in, Johnny squinted at the movie list. “There’s..an Elvis movie, a Marilyn Monroe movie..” He said and scooted for Peter Pan had no luck.” There’s no Peter.” He said with a slight frown.

Dani had been minding her own buisness, sipping a Coke, when all of a sudden she heard a very cheerful greeting. She looked over with arched eyebrows to see a young girl. Dani was a little bit surprised. “Hey there… and you are?”“I’m Maggie Valance.” Maggie said, swinging her legs slightly since they didn’t touch the ground when she was on the stool. “Who are you?” She asked, sipping on her milkshake.
Dani smiled a little. Ah, Johnny’s girl. Wow, no wonder he was so smitten. Maggie was a cute little thing. “I’m Dani Flynn. It’s nice to meet you Maggie… your boyfriend’s told me a lot about you.”
Maggie smiled bigger when Dani smiled. Her eyes widened at Dani’s statement. “Johnny told you about me?” She asked, unable to fight the big, goofy grin on her face.

Johnny nodded and smiled. “Me too and we could just lay down on the grass and watch them.” He sighed and looked over at Maggie. She was just so amazing and beautiful that a small part of Johnny still didn’t believe that she actually liked him.
“That’d be real nice.” Maggie admitted softly, smiling at the thought of just laying with Johnny in the grass, watching the stars. “I’d love that.” She admitted, looking over at Johnny, only to find he was watching her. She giggled, looking down and blushing lightly.

Johnny laughed and nodded. “I’d take you, we could live wherever we wanted. I’d like it in the country.”
Maggie nodded her head rapidly. “I’d love the country! We could see the stars so much more clearly there, too.”
